Raynell Sloan
Certified Public Accountant, Senior Audit Manager
Raynell has been working in the field of Accounting for over twenty years. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts from The Evergreen State College. She also earned the AICPA Certificate of Educational achievement in Governmental/Not-For-Profit Accounting and Auditing. Raynell is currently a member of the WSCPA Not-For-Profit Committee and the Accounting, Auditing, and Review Standards Committee.
Some of her specialties include audits in Not-For-Profit Organizations and A-133 Audits. Industry specialties include Public Utilities, Construction, Wholesaling and Retailing. She has served as Treasurer for the Refugee and Immigrant Service Center, as well as for Tacoma Musical Playhouse. In the past, she was involved with the Baptist General Conference Foundation Board, and the Junior Achievement Applied Economics High
School Program.
Michelle Goforth
Certified Public Accountant, Audit Manager
Michelle has been with the firm since the year 2000. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting with a Minor in Economics from
Western
Washington
University.
Her primary focus includes Audits in Manufacturing, Retirement Plans and Not-For-Profit Organizations. Michelle's community involvement has included volunteer work for the University Place School District Careers Program, the Tacoma Rescue Mission and for St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. She is a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants (WSCPA). She is also a former member of the WSCPA Accounting Careers Committee, United Way Audit Review Committee, and the American Society of Woman Accountants (ASWA).
Kara Thompson
Certified Public Accountant, Accounting Services Manager
Kara has been with the firm since 2000. She graduated from Sullivan College with her Bachelor's in Business Administration concentrated in Accounting. She provides a wide variety of services, including, but not limited to, compilations and preparation of individual and business taxes. Her professional emphasis is serving the needs of small businesses. Kara specializes in assisting small business clients with a wide range of services that includes setting up their chart of accounts, payroll information, compliance with local business taxes and other day-to-day assistance. She also has extensive experience with QuickBooks and is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She is a member of the American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA) and the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants (WSCPA).
Lynda Baker
Office Manager, Marketing Manager
Lynda has over twenty years of experience in firm administration, administrative support and accounting services. She specializes in marketing and administration. Lynda has been involved in several aspects of business operation and performs a wide variety of crucial tasks for the firm. In addition, she is a QuickBooks Advisor and performs several bookkeeping functions for clients. As the Marketing Manager for Doty, Beardsley, Rosengren & Co., P.S., she also helps organize firm functions and team-building activities.
MICHAEL T. ANTHONY
Certified Public Accountant, Tax Manager
Michael came to us with over fifteen years of public accounting experience. His industry specialties include manufacturing, construction, wholesaling and retailing. Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at The Evergreen State College and his Accounting Certificate at Pacific Lutheran University. He also has a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Michael spends time in the community with the Boy Scouts of America and was the Pierce County Chapter, WSCPA President from 2003 to 2004.
MARIE A. THOMPSON
Certified Public Accountant, MS (Tax)
Marie came to us with over sixteen years of public accounting experience. Marie's industry specialties include Small Business Formation, Multi-State Taxation, Non Profit, Real Estate and High Net Worth Individual Tax Planning and Compliance. Marie earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Central Washington University in 1992 and her MS Taxation from Golden Gate University in 2005. She spends time in the community with the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts and with Harrison Preparatory School Music Boosters as President. Marie is a member of the WSCPA, AICPA and ABWA.
