Jazzy June 2010
We had the opportunity this Summer to volunteer and attend Jazzy June. Jazzy June is a networking event put on by the Women's Resource Group and Key Bank to bring business people in the area together for a cause. This event helped raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. MS is a chronic and often disabling disease. The Jazzy June event helped raise money to support the research effort to find out more about MS and how to find a cure.
Tacoma Rescue Mission '07, '08, '09, '10
The Tacoma Rescue Mission provides many services to those in need within our community. Our staff is honored to have served the mission by providing extra hands to serve dinner to over 400 hungry Tacoma citizens each year for the past three years. Not only does it bring us closer to our community, it brings us closer to one another.
Salvation Army '09, '10
Every year the Salvation Army holds an Adopt-a-Family Program to help out local residents during the Holiday Season. This Christmas DBR helped out by adopting a local family to buy gifts for. We all took a little time out to donate, shop, wrap and deliver the gifts to the Salvation Army so a family in need would have gifts to open on Christmas Day.
HeartWalk '08, '09
The American Heart Association Walk takes place in October every year. DBR has participated in the Heart Walk for two years. Raising money and walking helping to fund research for heart disease and stroke, the number one and two killers of men and women in our country. In 2008 we raised over $1700.00 earning us the Rookie of the Year award!
South Sound Making Strides Against Breast Cancer '10
In October, volunteers from DBR participated in the South Sound Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. The turn out was huge! 2300 particpants from around the Sound joined forces to support the cause. DBR helped raise money to fight Breast Cancer. Overall the walk raised over $115,000!
AGC Golf Tounament 2009
Last summer we walked the red carpet and Hollywood Blvd. as Sponsors for the 2009 AGC Golf Tournament at Gold Mountain Pacific Golf in Bremerton. We all had a blast and the event was a huge success.
Read2Me
Read2Me brings community volunteers into 16 Tacoma Public Schools. One day a week, throughout the school year, our staff had the opportunity to change the life of a child through one-on-one mentorship. We spent the time reading, learning new words, and exercising our imaginations. This program offered children who are working to understand basic reading skills the opportunity to work in a safe environment, succeed as a reader and become active members of our community. We were honored to have the opportunity to participate.
Pierce County Day of Caring
Every year, United Way of Pierce County/MetroParks Tacoma sponsor an event meant to encourage citizens to get outside and spend the day beautifying our city. In Fall of 2007, a group of DBR employees got their feet muddy and their hands dirty helping restore salmon beds and create trails at Puget Creek Park off of Ruston Way.

It's A Bird, It's A Plane...It's An Accountant!!
Anyone who believes accounting is a mundane industry has obviously never met our staff! In the summer of 2008, five brave professionals set out to represent DBR at 13,000 feet. We jumped out of a perfectly good plane all in the name of a little adrenaline and a lot of fun! This was another group activity that brought the DBR family closer together.
A Day At The Races
After a long and arduous tax season, we emerge ready to let loose. Last year, our post-tax season party took us to Emerald Downs for a day at the races. We enjoyed a beautiful suite overlooking the track, delicious refreshments, and a race named for DBR! What a great way to celebrate a job well done.
DBR At Sea
What better way to celebrate DBR's first year in business than a Caribbean cruise?! In the summer of 2008, we boarded a cruise ship in Florida and headed out to sea. Our journey took us to the historical streets of Key West, the Mayan ruins in Belize and the sandy beaches of Cozumel. This was both an opportunity to celebrate hard work accomplished and to grow through our experiences together.

Beer Friday
If you come into our office on a Friday afternoon you might find it surprisingly quiet...until you get to our lounge! Here you will find us in a Friday meeting (of sorts) enjoying beverages and going over the week's events. We love to start our weekends together and end our weeks with this cheerful gathering.
Tacoma Rainier's Baseball
Since our firm was created, we have supported our town's local minor league baseball team. Every summer we gather our families to enjoy a festive day of baseball and hot dogs at Cheney Stadium!
Ski Bunnies
Every year, we look forward to hitting the slopes at our annual ski trip in Bend, OR. This is our final hurrah before buckling down for tax season and we always live it up. There is plenty to do in scenic Bend, but mostly we enjoy group snowball fights, karaoke, and lounging around! After this annual fun-filled weekend we are always ready to head into our busy season with smiles on our faces.

After Tax Party 2009 - Argosy Cruise
Our 2009 tax season was busy and productive. To celebrate another year of hard work the fun-loving staff of DBR met in Seattle at Pier 56 to board an Argosy cruise ship. We enjoyed a festive time, laughing and relaxing together as we cruised the Seattle Harbor.

After Tax Party 2010 - Bowling Party
For our after tax party in 2010 DBR took a trip to the lanes for a little bowling and good times. The staff met at Acme Bowling in Tukwila for some down time relaxing with a little friendly competition.
After Tax Party 2011 - Bowling Party
The 2011 After Tax Party was totally radical! With an 80’s theme, DBR’s hard-working staff dressed up and had a blast bowling at Chalet Bowl in Tacoma’s Proctor District. After the bowling festivities, we shared a delicious dinner together at The Ale House in University Place.
